jeder kennt sie, jeder redet über sie und jeder liebt sie: lana del rey ist momentan in aller munde. spätestens seitdem sie auf dem cover der interview erschienen ist. ich muss zugeben, ich bin nicht ihr größter fan. trotzdem mag ich ihre musik und höre sie auch des öfteren, wenn ich in entsprechender laune bin. es ist für mich lediglich nichts, was ich immer und in dauerschleife hören könnte. geschmäcker sind verschieden. aber ob man sie nun mag oder nicht, das coverbild ist definitv genial!

lana del rey. well i have to admit i'm not her hugest fan, but still i like her music and i am listening to her sometimes if i am in the mood. anyways, this cover is quite genius whether you like her or not.

fredrik ist eine schwedische band, die mich auf anhieb absolut überzeugt und verzaubert hat. ich bin durch das dockville auf sie gestoßen, da sie dieses jahr teil des programms sein werden (yeah!). ihre musik ist unglaublich schön und einzigartig. ich bin verliebt, also schaut mal bei ihnen vorbei, vielleicht seid ihr es danach auch..

totally worth checking out is this swedish band called fredrik. their music is incredibly beautiful and unique!

i adore them. so maybe you'll love them too..

nice try

Ich war gestern im Kino und habe mir "Freunde mit gewissen Vorzügen" mit Mila Kunis und Justin Timberlake. Für manche mit Sicherheit ein alter Stiefel, da er ja schon länger läuft, aber ich hab bisher noch nicht die Zeit gefunden und war jetzt umso begeisterter. Ein wirklich guter Film, mit der nötigen Portion Kitsch, aber auch einer gehörigen Menge Ironie. Ein guter Mix. Also für jeden, der bis jetzt noch gezögert hat: Es lohnt sich meiner Meinung nach absolut. Musikalisch ist auch was hängengeblieben. Die Band "I am Arrows" mit ihrem Lied "Nice Try".

Yesterday I went to the cinema to see "Friends with Benefits" because I hadn't have the chance before. But I think it's a really good movie. Including some kitsch but a lot of irony as well! So for everybody who's unsure if the film is worth it : I can recommend it!
Musicwise I loved the band "I am Arrows" with their song " Nice Try"

The Virgins - One Week of Danger

The Virgins sind bereits seit einigen Jahren eine meiner Lieblingsbands, Grund genug ihnen hier auch mal ein Plätzchen zu widmen.

The Virgins have been one of my favorite bands for a couple of years, some of you might know this song from the first season of Gossip Girl. However they are definitley worth it to be mentioned here.

Ich vermisse England so so sehr und das obwohl ich erst im Juli 2 Wochen in London verbracht habe, es ist einfach mein Traumland. Rundum. Modisch, sprachlich, stilistisch, musikalisch.
Aus diesem Grund huldige ich an dieser Stelle mithilfe von Bildern und Musik diesem großartigem Land.

I miss England so so much, although I spent 2 awesome weeks in London in july. England is just the country I do love the most. Therefore I'm going to pay homage to it at this point. Here are some pictures I took this summer and a song from the wonderful band Pegasus Bridge, it's such a shame that they did split up!

Festival

Am letzen Wochenende war ich beim Folklore NullElf Festival in Wiesbaden. Ich bin immernoch ziemlich begeistert, da die Musik wirklich gut war, eine tolle Stimmung herrschte und man das ganze für ziemlich kleines Geld geboten bekam. Freitags waren meine persönlichen Higlights Marteria und Donots. Besonders Marteria hat eine supergute Show abgeliefert. Samstags wurden dann Pohlmann, Irie Révoltés, Wir sind Helden und, als mein Highlight des Tages, Frittenbude begutachtet und ebenfalls für gut befunden. Abschließend dann am Sonntag habe ich mir Frsika Viljor angeschaut, eine uuuuuuunglaublich sympathische Band aus Schweden, die ich mir unbedingt nochmal bei einem Konzert anschauen muss. Das ganze hat für 3 komplette Tage 20 Euro gekostet, also wirklich wenig und gelohnt hat es sich absolut und ohne Zweifel!
